Central Myanmar (Burma) spread over the country from the west to the east. The areas bordered with the Bay of Bengal in the east, Bangladesh in the northwest. The areas include Rakhine State, Magway Division in the east and Mandalay, Kayah State and Shan State stretch over the central areas and border with Thailand in the southwest.

The largest administrative area and destination in this region is Shan State. The state border with Thailand at Mai Sai, offers enormous potential for overland traveling outside and inside the now. Exploring Inle Lake as well as hiking in Kalaw and Nyaung Shwe Giua are featured for many visitors to the state.
