Day 1: Arrival Yangon (D)
Upon arrival at Yangon International airport, meet your local tour guide and the driver then will transfer you to the hotel. Later, enjoy our welcome dinner at a fine local restaurant. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon City tour (B)
Yangon city is a must-see city for tourists who want to see a different Asia. It’s the largest city in Myanmar with a combination of nature and cultures and communities. This city was found in 1755 by King Alaungpaya and Yangon means “End of Strife”.
Taking a close look at the local life of this historical city today by vehicle and partly on foot, we visit the Sule pagoda in the center of the city. Walk around the Mahabandoola Park to see the colonial courthouse and the city hall. Then visit BogyokeAung San Market (former Scott’s Market), where shopper’s favorite place. Later today, we visit the world-famous golden Shwedagon Pagoda, a breathtaking and colorful sight visited by Buddhists from all over Myanmar. (Note: the market is closed on Mondays and gazette holiday).
Overnight in Yangon.
Day 3: Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) (B)
The Golden Rock at Mt. Kyaikhtiyo is a great pilgrimage site in Myanmar. It is a huge boulder covered by gold leaf and resting on the edge of a cliff. There is a small stupa is perched atop of the boulder and it’s said that the Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda contains one of the Buddha’s hairs….
We start our tour today earlier than usual and drive to Kyaikthiyo where we take the open truck to the Golden Rock at the base camp of Kinpun. Then take light trekking on the summit through the bamboo forest. It’s tough to get there but well worth effort. Besides the rock, we may see thousands of pilgrims, hundreds of candles being lit up and a breath-taking view at sunset & overnight at Kyaikhtiyo.
Day 4: Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) – Bago – Yangon (B)
Bago, formerly known as Pegu, is 80 km to the northwest of Yangon, was the capital of the Mon Kingdom of Lower Myanmar in the 15th century and is a rice bowl of Myanmar nowadays.
After breakfast, we have a short walk to a small cave and stop at some roadside shops for rare products of the jungle. Then we drive down to the base camp to take our vehicle back to Yangon. On the way back, we stop at Bago town, local market, KanbawzaThardi Palace built by King Bayinnaung, KalayaniSima (Ordination Hall). Shwemawdaw Pagoda, Shwethalyaung Pagoda, the world’s most beautiful reclining Buddha and Wood Carving Industry. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 5: Yangon – Fly to Bagan (B)
Bagan is a city where visitors can visit all year around. With more than 2,000 pagodas & temples dating back more than 1500 years of history, Bagan is one of the fascinating places for visitors when traveling to this country. This is also an ideal place for beautiful local Art, such as Lacquerware, bamboo works & wonderful local made cloth.
Today we take an early scheduled flight to Bagan where a local tour guide waiting and welcome at the airport. Taking a fresh air and meeting new friendly local people at the colorful NyaungOo market, then we visit the Golden Stupa at Shwezigon Pagoda where we will know more about Bagan’s rich history.
Later afternoon, we continue to visit the Ananda Temple, one of Bagan’s most beautiful temples with its architectural masterpiece. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 6: Bagan Full Day Visit (B)
The more relaxing day when we visit Myinkaba village, known as Bagan’s most famous shopping zone. At least a dozen workshops located around the villages. It is also home to the famous traditional Mon style lacquerware in Bagan in which has been passed by generations from the time of King Manuha 900 years ago.
Take a short walking tour to the temples of Manuha, one of the oldest temples in Bagan built by King Manuha enshrining four images of the Buddha. Take leisure walk to Nan Paya, one of the four temples built of sandstones with unique architecture in the 11th century.
We then also visit Dhammayangyi Temple, the largest temple in Bagan resembles the shape of the Great Pyramid in Egypt. Finally, complete your temple tour at Sula Mani Temple, an elegant temple that reflects the architecture in the late Bagan period.

Day 7: Bagan – Fly to Mandalay – Sagaing – Amarapura (B)
This morning, taking a short domestic flight to Mandalay, the cultural center in Myanmar. We then leave for Sagaing Hill to learn about a monk’s schooling. Visit Buddha Cave, Umin Thonze Pagoda, and Sunooponnyashin Pagoda on the top of Sagaing Hill where comprise many beautiful Buddha images offer a breathtaking panoramic view of Mandalay.
Later, we continue our journey to Amarapura, the former capital city of Myanmar where is famous for Mahagandaryone Monastery, the largest Buddhist teaching school in the country. With the passion and professional guiding of your guide, you will understand more about the daily life of monks living in Mandalay. Keep on walking over the U Bein Wooden Bridge, the longest and oldest teakwood bridge in the world. Let take a boat trip to sail around the lake and take the best photo of the bridge at stunning sunset time.
Day 8: Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay Hill (B)
Today we embark on our private upstream to visit Mingun village where is famed for its huge and incomplete Pahtodawgyi Pagoda and Mingun Bell – the 90-ton ringing bell.
In the afternoon, we visit Mandalay Palace, the last royal palace built by the Burmese Royals. It has been a century that was the residence of two last Burmese King. To date, it has been restored several times and become one of the most impressive constructions in Mandalay. Next, follow your guide to Shwenandaw Monastery, a part of the Golden Palace which noted for its exquisite wood carvings and gold leaf beating workshop.
Highlight your sightseeing with a visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda, which is holding the world’s largest book. End of the day, high up to the top of Mandalay Hill and enjoy the Burmese sunset and the panoramic view of the city.
Day 9: Mandalay – Fly to Heho – Inle Lake Discovery (B)
Taking a morning flight to Heho, we then discover Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar.
The Inle Lake is located 900 meters above the sea level and home of very famous Intha people (unique one leg-rowing technique). The motorboat takes us to Phaungdawoo Pagoda, the holiest religious pagoda in Inle Lake and Ngaphechaung Monastery, known as “Jumping Cat Pagoda”.
Later today, we stop at Nam Pan village to see the cotton and lotus weaving factories as well as cigar producing places. This area gives us a true sense of traditional Intha life. Overnight in Inle Lake.
Day 10: Inle Lake – Indein – Inle Lake – Fly to Yangon (B)
This morning, we have an opportunity to join the “5 Day Market” and enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and exotic market atmosphere. After that, we explore the beautiful temple of Indein, which is located on the hill overlooking the lake. It is relaxing to walk along the corridors and enjoy the giant columns that have been left to nature for centuries.
Then we take an evening flight back to Yangon. Greetings and transferring to the hotel in Yangon. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 11: Yangon Half Day City Tour – Departure
We spend our last minutes shopping at Treasure, Gems and Handicraft shops or at the BogyokAung San (Scott) market before transferring back to the hotel for our departure flight. Trip ends.

No, you don’t. Tour guide will buy tickets for you once you get there. The truck company collects cash up on arrival. But you will have to wait for the departure time of the truck. There is no fix time but they wait until all the seats on truck are occupied.

There are around 7 airlines companies in Myanmar. We often take Mann Yadanarpon airlines and KBZ airlines that are good and safe for tourists. There are no seat numbers in the plane so you should be the first passengers walk up to the plane to get the favorite seats.
