Full itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Kawthaung – Transfer to Kyat Mauk Island
Arrive in Myanmar’s southernmost town, Kawthaung, once known as Victoria Point. After clearing customs, travel by boat from Myoma Jetty to Kyat Mauk Island in the late afternoon. Take in beautiful sunset views before settling into your accommodation for the night.
Day 2: High Rock and Rocky Island
Begin your day with a relaxed dive at High Rock and Rocky Island, where you’ll encounter a variety of marine life including rays, pipefish, seahorses, and vibrant coral species. Continue to Shark Cave, a famous dive site where manta rays, nurse sharks, and stingrays are often spotted, along with fascinating smaller creatures like ghost pipefish and harlequin shrimp.
Day 3: Diving in Black Rock
Today’s highlight is Black Rock, one of Myanmar’s premier dive sites. Known for excellent visibility, this site offers opportunities to see large marine species such as sharks and rays, alongside colorful coral reefs teeming with smaller sea life.
Day 4: Twin Islands Exploration
Dive around North and South Twin Islands, where pelagic species are commonly seen. Expect sightings of grey reef sharks, zebra sharks, rays, and large sea fans in this dynamic underwater environment.
Day 5: The Arc, Boulder Rock and Macleod Island
Explore multiple dive sites, each offering rich coral landscapes and diverse marine life including lobster and reef fish. Macleod Island is especially known for night diving, providing a unique perspective on nocturnal marine activity.
Day 6: Sea Fan Forest Pinnacle
Start the day at Sea Fan Forest Pinnacle, famous for its towering sea fan formations. Continue to Western Rocky for additional dives, including an unforgettable tunnel cave that passes beneath the island, where you may encounter sharks, cuttlefish, and seahorses.
Day 7: Shark Point – Secret Lagoon – Departure
On your final morning, enjoy dives at Shark Point and Secret Lagoon, known for soft corals and diverse marine life such as blacktip sharks, turtles, and nudibranchs. In the afternoon, return to the mainland and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
