Depart your hotel in Bagan and transfer to the wharf. Your Bagan tour starts with a private boat for a downstream journey on the Irrawaddy River (it takes us from 2 to 3 hours depending on river conditions) to Sale town, then one that developed during the late Bagan era. Visit the Yoke Sone Monastery with its outstanding woodcarvings on the outside of the building.
Travel by van to Mount Popa (65 km and takes us 1.5 hours), an extinct volcano with spectacular views. Its shrine is dedicated to animist spirits known as “Nats” and you will have a chance to challenge yourselves to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the peak. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Return to Bagan and photo stop at a local village and a toddy palm plantation. Lunch is included. The trip ends at your hotel in Bagan.

Balloon over Bagan is considered as the best way to see the panorama of Bagan from bird eye view. It will be the most memorable experience in your Myanmar vacation. Beisdes, you can try some local vehicles such as horse carts, mini-vans and cycles. The weather in Bagan is fairy hot in daytime, so you can choose horse carts to explore magnificent temples.

I am traveling to Mandalay and Bagan, Myanmar next week. I concern about the current situation of flood and heavy rain in this country. Have these area affected at all?
at 10:54 am
At the moment, Myanmar is suffering heavy rain and flooding. Flooding happened in almost regions in Myanmar including Mandalay and Bagan, except from Yangon, Thanintharyi Regions and Kayah State. It would be better for you to take a trip in November which marks the end of rainy season in Myanmar.
