On Tuesday, Spring Airlines announced to open a direct Shanghai – Yangon flight using Airbus 320 aircraft from July 1, 2019. The flights take five hours in a one-way journey, half of the time taken by existing transfer flights. This marks a good news for Chinese tourists who want to visit Myanmar from June 2019.
The new route offers flights from Yangon International airport four times a week making it become the air line with most flights between two countries.
Besides, China Estern will also open a direct flight between Shanghai and Yangon in July with the total three return flights a week.

From the last September when Myanmar government relaxed visa requirements for Japanesem South Korean, and Chinese tourists, China has increased the number of flights to Myanmar. This makes the tourism between two countries become expanded.
There are more and more Chinese tourists are coming to Myanmar. Now it is able to see daily Chinese flights at Yangon airport. This new direct flight is expected to promote the tourism resourses in Myanmar among locals as well as add a new travel choice for tourists who are planning to take a trip to Myanmar in the future.
